For Adam, that passion started long before he was legally allowed to enjoy it. He traces his love affair with wine back to a single unforgettable bottle—one that changed the course of his life and set him on a career path in wine and spirits.
Since 1999, Adam has built his life around the industry. In 2001, he earned his certification through the Sommelier Society of America, becoming a certified sommelier and deepening the expertise that would guide his career. That journey has taken him through wholesale, retail, and even wine production while living in Napa Valley—each chapter shaping the vision behind Sip & Say.
For years, Adam dreamed of creating a wine shop that focused on people, experience, and discovery, rather than simply chasing big brand names. When he moved back to New York to be closer to family, that dream finally became reality.
Today, Sip & Say is truly a family experience.Alongside Adam, you’ll often find “Mom” stocking shelves, helping with deliveries, and making sure the store feels like home. Cindy and Alison bring their own charm to the shop through engraving, sales, and a little general tomfoolery—always making customers feel welcome, cared for, and happy when they leave.

Sip & Say Craft Wine & Spirits was born from the vision of certified sommelier Adam Schneider and his more than 25 years in the wine industry.
After decades working closely with wine & spirits, Adam saw a growing need for something different: a shop that helps everyone—from curious beginners to seasoned collectors—discover bottles made with integrity, craftsmanship, and a true sense of place.
At Sip & Say, every bottle tells a story—of the region, the vineyard, wineries and distilleries, and the people behind them. We bring those stories to life through thoughtful curation, taste, and education, helping customers feel confident in every purchase.
Our wines and spirits are hand-selected to deliver exceptional quality at every price point. From small-batch and artisanal spirits to organic, biodynamic, natural, and sustainably produced wines, every bottle reflects the care and methods that define great production.

And because we believe every bottle should feel personal, Sip & Say offers complimentary custom engraving on most bottles purchased in-store. We also specialize in fully customized engraved bottles, including photos or logos, creating meaningful gifts and keepsakes at approachable prices.
