Description

The 10th release on a long line of exceptional iterations, the Orphan Barrel Rhetoric 23 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon was crafted at the old Bernheim Distillery and then matured, in part, at the renowned Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Aged for a minimum of 23 years and offered at 45.3% ABV, this sublimely crafted bourbon is derived from a mash bill containing 86% corn, 8% barley, and 6% rye. Matured in select virgin charred American oak barrels, Rhetoric 23 is another step forward in this progressively aged lineup, re-released annually at another year older - giving collectors the opportunity to collect the series and experience each unique release sip for sip, side by side. The nose offers hints of thick oak, caramel, and roasted nuts coated in vanilla over a palate of spiced caramel, cinnamon, dried fruit, and cloves.
